How to enable a data retention policy for your organization

Lock video and transcript deletion settings for your organization in the Admin Dashboard.

If you are a Xembly Enterprise admin, you can configure your entire organization's video and transcript retention settings. Once enabled, these captures will be deleted automatically after the timeframe of your choice.

To enable the company-wide data retention policy:

  1. Open the Admin Panel at http://admin.xembly.com/.

    1. Note: You must be an Administrator on your Xembly account. Not sure who your administrator is? Please reach out to your Customer Success representative or drop us a line at help AT xembly DOT com.

  2. Click Settings in the menu on the left side of the screen.

  3. In the box labeled Data Retention, toggle on Enable Data Retention Policy

  4. Select Video or Video & Transcript (depending on your preference).

  5. Click the drop-down menu to the right of Delete after and select the time range after which you'd like the records deleted.

The automatic Summary deletion settings will now be locked in the Xembly Extensions of all users at your organization.
