How do I share a Summary?

Learn how to share your Xembly Meeting Summary.

Xembly Summaries are most helpful when shared with the right recipients at the right time. In many cases, users with Summary enabled can simply turn on Auto-Share to ensure the Summary is shared with the attendees when it's available.

In some cases, it may be beneficial to manually share a Summary:

  • You may need to edit the Summary or Action Items before sharing

  • You may need to one-off share a Summary with a particular stakeholder, including a non-attendee


Share a Summary manually from the Web App (desktop):

There are two ways to share Summaries manually from the desktop Web App.

Option 1: Feed

  1. Find the completed Summary in your Feed and open it

  2. Click on the Share icon (arrow pointing up) at the top right

  3. Click Share Summary

  4. Specify your recipients and remove any of the default recipients if needed

  5. Add a message (optional)

  6. Click Share

Option 2: Meeting Summaries tab

  1. Click on the Summaries tab (page icon) on the left side of the screen

  2. Locate the Summary in the grid and click Share

  3. Click Share Summary

  4. Specify your recipients and remove any of the default recipients if needed

  5. Add a message (optional)

  6. Click Share

Share a Summary manually from the Web App (mobile):

There are two ways to share Summaries manually from the mobile Web App.

Option 1: Feed

  1. Open a browser and visit web.xembly.com

  2. Click on the three horizontal lines at the top right of the screen to expand the menu

  3. Click Feed

  4. Find the completed Summary in your Feed and click to open it

  5. Click the three vertical dots next to the event name

  6. Click Share Summary

  7. Specify your recipients and remove any of the default recipients if needed

  8. Add a message (optional)

  9. Click Share

Option 2: Meeting Summaries tab

  1. Open a browser and visit web.xembly.com

  2. Click on the three horizontal lines at the top right of the screen to expand the menu

  3. Click Summaries

  4. Locate the Summary in the card list and click Share

  5. Click Share Summary

  6. Specify your recipients and remove any of the default recipients if needed

  7. Add a message (optional)

  8. Click Share


Share a Summary manually from the Extension:

  1. Find the meeting in the Xembly Extension

  2. Click the Share icon (arrow pointing up) at the top right

  3. Click Share Summary

  4. Specify your recipients and remove any of the default recipients if needed

  5. Add a message (optional)

  6. Click Send

  7. Click Share when prompted to confirm sharing

Share Summary

Pro Tip: All users with access to a Summary now have the ability to share with others, regardless of whether you requested it ahead of time or someone shared it with you. However, if you did not request the Summary in advance or during the meeting, you will not be able to edit the Summary.
