With attendee-driven Summary, you can enable notetaking for any meeting on your calendar (as long as it has a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams link).

Here’s how it works:

  • 📅 Find a meeting invite for which you would like automated notes and turn on Summary.

To turn on Summary for any meeting using the Web App:

  1. Open the Xembly Web App on your desktop or mobile device

  2. Locate the meeting in your calendar and click on it

  3. Toggle on Get meeting Summary

To turn on Summary for any meeting using the Extension:

  • Go to calendar.google.com

  • Click on the meeting for which you’d like notes

  • Toggle on Get Meeting Summary

📲 You can also ask Xena to turn on Summary for you by referencing the meeting by its title or the date and time on which it's scheduled. Just ping your request via Slack or the Xembly Web App or Extension.

🦾 Want notes for all of your calls automatically? Visit your Preferences in the Xembly Web App or Extension. Scroll to Summary, toggle on the "Default Summary Settings," and select "All Meetings" from the dropdown.

  • 🎥 Xembly's AI notetaker will join to capture accurate notes and action items. Only one notetaker will join, even if multiple Xembly users request a Summary.

  • ✅ After the meeting, you and other Xembly users with Summary enabled can edit the meeting notes and tasks to ensure you have one source of truth for each meeting.

  • 🎁 Share notes via email or Slack, or export the notes by tapping the share icon. Organizers can Auto-Share as usual.

  • 💥 Need to delete transcripts, video recordings, or both? The meeting organizer and your company admin have deletion rights. Xembly Enterprise admins can enable a company-wide data retention policy to automatically delete recordings and transcripts after a specified timeframe.

Pro Tip: You can start, stop, and pause the recording at any time through the Extension, or you can simply remove the notetaker by using the “/xena leave” command in the meeting chat.
