How to check whether note taking is enabled for your meeting (and your account).

To check whether Summary is turned on for an individual meeting:

In the Xembly Web App:

  • Click on the event in your Web App calendar

  • Under Meeting Settings, you’ll see the option for Get Meeting Summary toggled to ON or OFF

In the Xembly Extension:

  • Click on the event in Google Calendar.

  • If your Xembly Extension doesn’t pop up automatically, manually open it by clicking the Xembly icon on the top right corner of your calendar.

  • Under Meeting Settings, you’ll see the option, Get Meeting Summary, toggled to ON or OFF.

Heads up: Xembly users can turn on Summary for meetings they did not organize with attendee-driven Summary.

To check whether Global Summary is enabled for your account:

When Global Summary is enabled for your account, Xena will take notes automatically for all of your meetings (or all that you own). You can always turn off Summary for individual meetings as needed by using the toggle on the calendar event.

In the Xembly Web App (desktop):

  • Open the Xembly Web App

  • Click on the gear icon on the left side of the homepage to open Settings

  • Click on Preferences and scroll down to Summary

  • You’ll see a toggle called Default Summary Settings

  • If the toggle is on, Global Summary is enabled for your account. You can select "My Meetings" or "All Meetings" to choose the meetings for which Xena will automatically take notes.

In the Xembly Web App (mobile):

  • Open the mobile Web App

  • Click on the three horizontal lines at the top right of the screen to expand the menu

  • Click on Settings

  • Click on Preferences and scroll down to Summary

  • You’ll see a toggle called Default Summary Settings

  • If the toggle is on, Global Summary is enabled for your account. You can select "My Meetings" or "All Meetings" to choose the meetings for which Xena will automatically take notes.
