Learn how to schedule meetings with Xena via Slack in DMs, channels, and group messages.

Easily schedule with Xena in Slack by mentioning @Xena by Xembly in any channel or group message where Xena is added or by including /xena before your request in a group message or channel (see: How to interact with Xena). Alternatively, you can message your scheduling request directly to Xena without mentioning @Xena by Xembly.

βœ… You must reference your attendee(s) in every request by tagging them, including their email, or using @here or @channel.

  • Date(s)

  • Time of day

  • Meeting duration

  • Title

  • Location

  • Summary / Notes On

  • Timezone

Scheduling Examples with Xena

Use natural language to prompt Xena to schedule. Here are a few examples to get you started.

Booking a meeting in a channel:

Simply mention @Xena by Xembly in the channel and make your scheduling request, tagging the channel or individuals to indicate your desired attendee(s). Xena must be added to the channel beforehand.

Helpful hint: You can use the /xena command to engage with Xena in existing DMs, group chats, and channels, even if Xena hasn't been added.

Slack channel scheduling

Booking a meeting in a group message:

Mention @Xena by Xembly or begin your message with /xena and state your scheduling request.

Watch out: Remember that to include Xena in group chats, you must start a new group with Xena. You cannot add 'Xena by Xembly' to an existing group chat.

Booking a meeting via DM with the Xena Slack app:

In your DM with Xena, make your scheduling request and mention the desired attendee(s) using their Slack handle or email address.

Pro Tip: In addition to scheduling new meetings, Xena can reschedule and cancel meetings already on your schedule.
