Why is the notetaker still in my meetings after I uninstalled Xembly?

Uninstalling the Xembly Extension does not automatically turn off Summary for all meetings

Removing the Xembly Extension from your browser does not automatically turn off Summary for all meetings. To stop the notetaker from appearing in your meetings, you have a few options:

Disable Summary but keep your data

  1. Reinstall the Xembly Extension

  2. Click the gear icon to open 'Settings' ⚙️

  3. Click on Preferences

  4. Scroll down to Summary

If you have Default Summary enabled:

Toggle this setting OFF. If you'd like, you can remove the Xembly Extension again.

If you have Default Summary disabled:

You'll need to manually turn off Summary for any meeting that currently has notetaking enabled. Read more about your options for turning off Summary.

Stop using Xembly altogether and delete your data

  1. Reinstall the Xembly Extension

  2. Click the gear icon to open 'Settings' ⚙️

  3. Select Account Configuration

  4. Click Delete My Xembly Account

Watch out: Once your account is deleted your data cannot be recovered. Consider using the option above to keep your data — you can still opt to remove the Xembly Extension.
