Integrating Xembly with Jira

How to set up your integration with Jira, what it does, and your configuration options

If you don’t see Jira — or any connector you're looking for — under Settings > Integrations, just ask: help AT xembly DOT com. We'll get you set up.

How to connect to Jira

Go directly to web.xembly.com/connections/jira and skip to Step 5 below. Or:

  1. Visit web.xembly.com

  2. Click on the ⚙️ Settings icon on the left side of the page

  3. Navigate to Integrations

  4. On the card for Jira, click Manage

  5. Click anywhere in the white box containing jira and [your email] to expand

  6. Under Auth type, select OAuth 2.0

  7. Fill out the Host name by referring to the URL of your Jira account

  8. Under Project and Issue Type, select a Jira Project

What your Jira <> Xembly integration will do

  • Add action items to the Jira board you selected after each meeting

  • Add owners, dates, and meeting names to your tasks

  • Create a link back to the full meeting notes with video and transcript

Configuration options

Organizations and teams work in infinitely many ways, and good integrations need to align with every setup. Xembly partners with you to fit your model perfectly.

For example:

  • Limit which Action Items are synchronized to Jira

    • e.g. only synchronize my Action Items so I can stay on top of them

    • e.g. only synchronize Action Items with external participants

  • Notify me by email when new Action Items have been added so I can quickly triage them

  • Custom fields
