Authentication

You will be prompted to select your workspace from the top right-hand corner (if appropriate) and review your permissions. Click Allow and select Go to Slack.

"Xena by Xembly is requesting permission to access the Xembly Slack workspace. Xena by Xembly will be able to view content and info about you, content and info about channels & conversations, and content and info about your workspace. Xena by Xembly will be able to perform actions as you, perform actions in channels and conversations, and perform actions in your workspace."

Need approval from an Administrator to upgrade?

You may receive a “Request Approval Screen” if your Slack administrator requires new applications to get approved. You can type a message to your administrator (optional).

"Xena Staging is requesting permission to access the Xembly Slack workspace. This app requires permissions that must be reviewed by an App Manager before you can install it."

Once submitted you will get redirected to the Slack App Directory with a confirmation.

Users who requested approval from their administrators will be notified by Slackbot in Slack and can proceed by clicking Go to App Directory.

A message from Slackbot in Slack: "Your request to install Xena by Xembly on ScopeTester has been sent for review. Your request to install Xena by Xembly has been approved. You can now install it from the App Directory."

Once successfully installed, the Xena by Xembly app will be accessible under your Apps at the bottom of your Slack sidebar. We suggest [right-clicking] to launch the settings bar and [click] Move conversation to a more accessible location for easier access.
